Larchwood Studio is the hub of Racquety Farm. It's a small complex of buildings that has many functions... but it is so very much more than just buildings. The main studio space is home to a first-rate and ever-growing community of wellness practitioners, most of whom live locally in and around Hay on Wye.

MONDAYS
FLOOR-WORK / EARTH FLOW MOVEMENT CLASS
9.15am - 10.15am
Suitable for everyone
We begin lying on the floor, focussing on our felt-experience, pouring our weight, travelling along the spiralling pathways of our bones, to find deep release and simple efficiency. Following those spirals, we unfurl into quadrapetal movement (on all fours) unlocking new power and dynamic potential.

RESTORATIVE YOGA AND DEEP REST

PARENT AND BABY YOGA
With Angela Benton - Nurturing Yoga
Wednesdays 10.45am - 12pm in blocks of four or five weeks
There is something truly amazing about a class filled with new parents and the noises of babies! Our baby classes are designed to help restore, rejuvenate and rebuild after pregnancy and birth. The classes give parents a chance to move and breathe, offer some songs and actions to entertain the babies and give both a beautiful chance to bond together.
Whether you’ve done Yoga before or not, it really doesn’t matter; these classes are a chance to start reconnecting with your body - whatever stage you're at. There is absolutely no issue if your baby cries, poos, or feeds - that’s what they do and we welcome everyone; including babes who aren’t playing ball that day. The space we create in the room together is one of compassion and support; and we always make sure there is time for a catch-up, cuppa and a chat too.

DYNAMIC VINYASA CLASS

A 60 minute mindfully sequenced flow class to explore movement and mobility. Suited to anyone who has dabbled in yoga. Extensions and modifications offered to suit a range of experiences.

THURSDAYS
MULTI-LEVEL MORNING YOGA
With Seren Berry
9am - 10.15am
The class will be based on Hatha yoga, with some sections of faster movement as a way of waking up and warming the body.
The class is suitable for beginners to advanced students - I offer softer and more advanced variations in many postures, to suit your level and even how tired or energetic you're feeling on the day. Throughout the practice, I encourage you to really listen to how you're feeling and what your mind and body are asking for during the class, stepping away from our natural tendency to always push ourselves and really giving yourself the permission to relax when that's what's needed.

MASSAGE APPOINTMENTS
Hannah at The Soul Shack Yoga and Therapies is a fully certified and insured complementary therapist and yoga teacher. She is at Larchwood regularly on Thursdays and at other times by appointment.
Hannah’s approach as a therapist is firmly rooted in providing practical help and support to people with a variety of issues, but she is also of the opinion that complementary therapies without a bit of woowoo is just a bit grayscale, so you can expect the odd crystal dotted around and the occasional mention of energy or breathwork. Hannah is trained in massage, aromatherapy, Indian Head massage and reflexology and she works in an intuitive way, rather than to a set or rigid routine, aiming to support the person she is working with holistically and as an individual.
She hopes to provide a warm welcome with a gentle, open-minded approach when you arrive, and for you to feel very much better when you leave.
Book Hannah directly for 1:1, private group sessions and therapies.
FUSION FLOW

A fusion of pilates based core work, mobility, yoga and strength work. The focus is to move your body in a way that nourishes it as a whole. We get limited time to move our bodies in the week, let this class be the one hour of movement that helps you hit all the major points.
